I think it may have been around this time last year I did my last blog and I said I would do more throughout the year! Well that clearly never happened, we were so busy last year, our busiest year yet, hopefully this year I’ll get around to doing a few more!
I’ve received so many stunning professional pictures back from last year’s weddings I just had to share them with you. Over the next few weeks I will be adding more blogs featuring weddings across the different venues we cover and hopefully capturing a variety of colour schemes and flowers to inspire you.
One of the biggest trends in 2018 was white and green with almost every bride asking for foliage!
This was the brief for Leanne and Stuarts wedding in July last year.
For the bouquets we used small seasonal flowers such as Lisianthus, Astrantia, Veronica (giving that spikey effect) and Wax Flower with not a Rose in sight! Oh and of course Eucalyptus, I would love to know how many bunches of it we got through last year!
The ceremony was at the church in Northleach and the reception at the stunning Barn at Upcote.
For the floral décor in the church we attached glass jars to the pew ends with flowers to complement the bridal party, after the ceremony they were whipped off and taken back to the reception – it’s all about utilizing your flowers!
The milk churns outside the main entrance were again complementing the bridal party, but we added in Delphinium's to give height, and again they were taken back to the reception by willing members of the grooms party!
Leanne and Stuart wanted simple pretty table arrangements so in keeping with the beautiful barn they went for jam jars on a rustic log base.
We actually had our first rainfall on this day after a long run of blazing hot weather, but I don’t even thing the bride and groom noticed as they had such a wonderful day.
